The allure of handmade ceramics often lies in the imperfections, showcasing the mark of the maker. However, some items contain imperfections that compromise the intended look or function of a piece, classifying them as second quality (these imperfections include but are not limited to: glaze defects, hairline cracks, warping, etc.) Instead of being discarded, these flawed items are sold at a discounted price.
